Clinical Psychology or Industrial Psychology...what's the difference?

Psychology is a field in which anyone could more than likely find anything to focus on. Whether it be social psychology, prospective memory psychology, child development psychology, or even sport psychology! Now some of the most popular ones that I personally struggle with is clinical psychology vs. industrial/organizational psychology. What's the difference?

Clinical psychology focuses on a mental health approach to understand psychological disorders. Many clinical psychologists work on getting a PhD and tend to work in clinics, universities, community health centers. They work to understand a mental health disorder that's causing a person some type of impairment such as depression, anxiety, or even schizophrenia.

Industrial/organizational psychology takes a completely different approach. IO psychology (as it's also called) works on identifying issues or opportunities among the workplace. An IO psychologist can typically operate with a Masters or a PhD and works alongside human resources to identify potential applicants and current employees to make the workplace more beneficial and efficient.
